Patricia Volhard
Patricia Volhard is a Partner in the Frankfurt, London and Luxembourg offices of Debevoise & Plimpton and member of the Private Equity Funds/Investment Management practice groups. She specialises in advising funds (including regulatory matters and the structuring of funds for EU insurance companies and pension funds).
Ms Volhard is one of Europe’s leading lawyers in the field of private equity funds and has played a prominent role in the development of this sector, most notably through her involvement in Invest Europe (formerly European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association).
She is the former Chair of the Tax, Legal & Regulatory Committee and current Chair of the Financial Services/Regulatory working group at Invest Europe. She is a member of the BVK’s Legal Advisory Board; the Alternative Credit Technical Group of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) and the Regulatory Committee of the Listed Private Equity Association.
Patricia Volhard is recognised as a renowned expert in leading legal directories. Ms Volhard is recommended in the Legal 500 UK and Legal 500 Deutschland rankings (2021) for investment funds. Ms Volhard studied law in Frankfurt am Main, Strasbourg and at LSE (London School of Economics), where she completed her LL.M. in 1999.
