Environmental Social Governance (ESG) aspects are becoming more and more important. Especially in the private equity sector, an ESG management approach can be more than just relevant to competition. In 2021, the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) was introduced as part of the Sustainable Finance Strategy and regulates disclosure requirements with regard to sustainability aspects and ESG for financial products such as private equity funds.
