About us

• BVK is the association of private equity and venture capital companies operating in Germany and is based in Berlin
• Founded on 8 December 1989 after a merger of the original BVK and the German Venture Capital Association (DVCV)
• 206 full members (private equity and venture capital companies) and 106 associate members (e.g. law firms, auditors, etc.) as of May 2012
  

Objective

• Creating the best possible conditions for private equity and venture capital in Germany
• Promoting public understanding for the role of private equity companies 

Tasks 

• Cooperating closely with the media, policymakers, universities and associations nationally and internationally.
• Supporting its members in communicating their business
• Promoting cooperation between different members

Structures

BVK members work in four specialist groups:  

• Venture Capital
• Small and Medium Sized Enterprises
• SME Private Equity and Venture Capital Companies
• Large Buy-Outs
