Pantheon Ventures is an international private equity fund of funds manager with offices in London, San Francisco, Hong Kong and New York. It has been delivering private equity investment solutions to a broad range of clients for 27 years and, as of Q3 2009, it managed USD 22.2 billion for over 300 clients, including pension funds, endowments, government bodies and insurance companies. Pantheon employs 143 staff globally, including 64 investment professionals (as of 1st March 2010). Pantheon’s offerings include regional funds of funds in Europe, North America and Asia, global secondary funds of funds, global infrastructure funds of funds and customised separate account programmes. Pantheon was founded in 1982 as the private equity arm of GT Management, becoming an independent company through a management buyout in 1988. In March 2004, Pantheon was acquired by Russell Investments, a global financial services company focusing on investment management. In February 2010, it was announced that Affiliated Managers Group ("AMG") will acquire the business of Pantheon from Russell Investments. This long-term partnership with AMG will enable Pantheon’s management to own a meaningful share
of the equity and maintain independent management of the business.
