The Bundesverband Deutscher Kapitalbeteiligungsgesellschaften - German Private Equity
and Venture Capital Association e.V. (BVK) represents the interests of the German private
equity industry towards political decision-makers, the media, market partners and the public.
The Association offers its members the use of and participation in the most comprehensive
and most influential network of private equity firms including all relevant stakeholders in
Germany. A large variety of services is available to the members.

The goal of BVK’s activities is the creation of stable and reliable environmental conditions
for the private equity industry in Germany, the generation of a deal flow for private equity
and access to long-term capital sources.

BVK’s mission and services include:

• currently: Corporate tax reform, Private Equity Law
• newsletter for political decision-makers on current movements in the private equity industry

Media and PR work

• press conferences, press releases, and background discussions on current fiscal and
  industrial movements, presentation of quarterly statistics, journalist workshops on special
  subjects (e.g. LBO, CVC, etc.)
• events on the subject of private equity organised for members, political and economic
  decision-makers, and the interested public
• support of members in their media and public relations work

• timely provision of relevant information on the BVK Member website (BVK Newsletter)
• reporting on current legislation and regulation projects
• provision of information according to the request of members

Features of associate members of the BVK e.V.

• Associated members are invited to all events of the association even if their rights are statutorily limited (e.g. no voting right for the board).
• In the context of the work group on law and taxes, selected associate members consult the association on legal and tax issues and on lobbying.
• The majority of specialized lectures in division meetings are held by representatives of
  associate members. In addition, the association publishes relevant articles on its member
  website.
